Step one: the structure you'll reuse
Before anything is written, the reference video is turned into a beat-by-beat script like this one (our demo video). Your script keeps these beats and roughly these timings, and replaces every line with your product.
Script
6 beats · 27s| Beat | On screen | Said |
|---|---|---|
| Hook0:00–0:02 | Half-cleaned grout line as a split before/after in a single frame.Text “I did NOT scrub this by hand” | “This grout was black two minutes ago.” |
| Problem0:02–0:06 | Close-ups of stained grout and a worn toothbrush; creator admits she used to lose Saturday mornings to this.Text “2 hours every weekend” | “Every Saturday I'd be on my knees with a toothbrush and it still looked like this.” |
| Product reveal0:06–0:09 | Scrubber pulled from a drawer, brush head clicks on, quick look at the extension pole.Text “cordless spin scrubber” | “Then I got this.” |
| Demo0:09–0:18 | Three fast satisfying passes: grout, tub edge, stovetop, each cut on the moment the dirt lifts. | “Grout, the tub, without bending over, even the stovetop.” |
| Proof0:18–0:23 | Full before/after wipe transition of the whole wall with a two-minute timer overlay.Text “2:00” | “The whole wall took two minutes. Two.” |
| Call to action0:23–0:27 | Creator points down to the shop link and mentions the current deal.Text “Deal ends Sunday” | “It's on sale right now, the link is right here.” |
Why start from a video instead of a prompt
A prompt-based generator gives you a plausible script with nothing behind it. A video that did far better than its creator's usual posts is evidence: that order of beats, that length of setup, that kind of hook held attention at least once.
So this generator works in two steps. First the breakdown shows you the structure of the reference video. Then the script is written for your product inside that structure, instead of around a generic formula.
What the script includes
You fill in a short brief once: the product name, a sentence about it, at least three selling points, who it's for and your call to action. Save it to your product library and reuse it for the next script.
The script comes back with three hook options in different styles, then the lines and shots for every beat after the hook. Each shot has a short filming note, so you can shoot the whole thing on a phone in one session.
- Three hooks to test against each other
- Voiceover lines for each beat
- What to film for each beat, with on-screen text
- The beat order and rough timing of the reference video
Free scripts, paid videos
Scripts are free for signed-in users: 5 a day on the free plan, more on paid plans. They don't use credits.
If you'd rather not film, the same script can be rendered as a template video with an AI voiceover and captions, using your product photos or clips. Each video is 1 credit, and you render only the hooks you like. New accounts start with 10 free credits. Videos on the free plan carry a small watermark; any plan or credit pack removes it.
Picking a reference video
Choose one from your niche and with a similar kind of product. A kitchen gadget script built on a skincare routine will fight you at every beat.
Look for videos that beat the account's usual numbers, not just videos from big accounts. Our viral library sorts videos that way: views compared with the creator's usual views.

Pick Script only
Get three hooks and the full script, usually in under a minute. Render any of them as a video later if you want.
TikTok script generator questions
Is the TikTok script generator free?
Yes, for signed-in users. The free plan includes 5 scripts a day, and paid plans include more. Breaking down the reference video is free as well.
Do I need a product?
The script is written around what you promote, so you need a short brief. A physical product, a shop, an app, a service or your own channel all work.
Will it copy the original video's words?
No. It reuses the structure: the order of beats, the timing and the type of hook. The lines are written for your product. Don't reuse someone else's footage or voice in your video either.
Can I turn the script into a video?
Yes. From the script, render any of the hooks as a template video for 1 credit each, with an AI voiceover, word-by-word captions and your own photos or clips.
Does it work for YouTube Shorts and Reels?
The reference can be a TikTok or a YouTube Short. The script is a vertical short-form script, so the video you make from it can go anywhere that takes 9:16 video.
